Politecnico di Milano is a scientific-technological university which trains engineers, architects and industrial designers. In this regard, the scientific support to the project, in terms of analysis and advanced characterization of the PTFE, e-PTFE and the final manufactured products, will be managed by the Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering "Giulio Natta" of the Politecnico di Milano. The research team will be led by Prof. Turri, an expert in the field of high performance fluorinated polymers. Prof. Turri’s lab has all the necessary equipment to carry out an extensive and detailed physico-chemical and mechanical characterization of PTFE raw materials and manufactured products.

Inspiralia provide companies with the necessary technical resources to develop leading edge solutions in materials science and microelectronics and the use of simulation and advanced experimental equipment to design and implement solutions for better product performance and more efficient processes. In ProPApp, the new extrusion plant of the modified PTFE requires the application of an advanced control electronics to ensure the control of process parameters in order to ensure the quality of the result (in terms of characteristics of the extruded film). In this regard, the development of the electronics will be entrust to Inspiralia’s team.
