INTRODUCTION
Our company Macchine Speciali S.R.L. was established in 1996 in northern Italy near Milan, and over the years we have increased our expertise and knowledge, focusing on machinery construction and production processes for the Electrical Cable Industry. Our broad experience allows us to present and offer an extended machinery range to our customers including: winding/unwinding systems, stranding machines and specialized extrusion lines for PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride), and in particular PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), being the leaders in equipment for semi-finished PTFE in cables and pipe industry.
Following requests from our customers, manufacturer of cables, wires and conductors during the past two decades we have been investigating PTFE films and tapes, how they are produced and current process limitations.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION / What PropApp is?
PropApp (New PTFE PROduction Process for High Value APPlications) is our new project for the construction of a complete extrusion line for expanded PTFE tape (so called E-PTFE).
By listening to our customers’ feedback, and their need for materials with enhanced performances and processes with energy savings, we have developed a Prototype of Paste Extrusion Equipment and we are building, thanks to the Horizon Financing programme, a complete line for the production of expanded PTFE “E-PTFE” films and tapes.
The line will include all the machineries for the complete process from the preparation station of powder to make the pre-forms , to the paste extruder, stretching and sinterizing machine, cutting machine for tapes and take up of the final product.
